I wrote this poem for my Aunt Donna and Uncle Jerry fifteen years ago. My aunt has since passed away and I miss her very much. I hope she can look down from heaven and see this page as a reminder of how much I love and miss her.

Love

Love is and causes many different things
At times it can break your heart
Other times love makes it sing
It causes confusion
It causes pain
But then again
Love can be affection
Love can be friendship

Love is a special emotion
But it is a very conflicting one
It can cause anger
It can cause disappointment
But...love can be peaceful
Love can be contentment

Love is marriage and family
But even these two parts of love
Can make you worry
Can make you scared
Can make you cry
Can make you feel lonely

So then you ask yourself, why?
Why love?
Love can "cause" many things
Which all seem harmful
But the things love "can" be
Are very beautiful
Which makes loving someone worth it
Despite the pain it can cause
