Over The Years

I remember the day you were born
Such a sweet little bundle of joy
I loved you from that moment on
Time has only made my love grow

Your baby laughter filled the air
Full of energy and on the move
Enjoying each day without a care
Sharing your happiness and your love

The cutest toddler you could find
Pretty blond curls the color of wheat
Big blues eyes full of sunshine
A personality both loving and sweet

Over the years your interests have grown
To include music, sports and friends
Learning and expressing ideas of your own
Growing stronger as each experience ends

Your potential for success has no limits
You can reach any goal you wish to achieve
No other person like you exists
Look at the beauty within yourself and believe

Can you see the special place in my heart
Where my love for you has lived for so long?
Time and distance could never keep us apart
Because the bond of our love is too strong
