It’s been a year now
And we miss you so
We think of you often

The day you all left us
Many tears were cried
The pain of your loss
Was felt world wide

As time helps us heal
We try to understand
Why you were taken
By such an evil hand

We had to look beyond
The pain and the fear
To see why you’re gone
And we are still here

We saw all the heroes
The countries united
The spreading of love
Many flags were sighted

Countless positive things
Grew from the despair
We found that our answer
Had always been there

Your lives are a symbol
Of our dreams for peace
You gave life to the hope
That all wars will cease
