August 10, 2005 Hello to everyone and welcome to all of the new subscribers. I hope you are all enjoying the summer months with your children, taking vacations, gardening, or whatever activity happens to bring you joy. Since I last sent a newsletter out, I was approached by a very nice lady to forge a partnership of sorts. Her name is LadyLegend and she creates the graphic sets at Legend Designz. I will be writing poetry for some of her new and existing sets as time allows and creativity flows. She has also added a number of my existing poems to sets where they seemed to "fit". The three poems I am sharing with you today are a result of this partnership and so far we both are having fun with it. :-) "Me and My Pals" This one is pretty self-explanatory. It was written from a child's veiw point to tie in with a piece of art painted in the 1800's. https://www.wordsfromthesoul.com/misc/meandmypals.html "Zodiac Signs" LadyLegend was asked to create graphic sets that reflect the 12 Zodiac signs. By using information that I found on a site relative to astrology, I am writing poems to display with those sets. It has been fun and interesting as well. I was recently contacted by a childhood friend who needs all of the assistance she can get in order to help one of her children through a rough time. Her son is currently attending a school for at risk teens in Utah. This program is helping him, but unfortunately it is very expensive and she is handling this situation alone. I am sharing a link to a page that this school has allowed her to set up to share a bit of her story as well as one explaining what the program is about. I have also included contact information and the Win A Cruise page in the event you are interested in buying a ticket(s) for a raffle she has set up which gives you the opportunity to win a cruise through Carnival or if you are willing to help her in any way. Even if it is just to send along encouragement. This program is helping Rebecca's son and it may be the answer to the prayers of other parents who have an at risk teen as well. Thank you for your time and have a nice evening. :-) Lisa As I explained in my emails, I purchased an encryption program in order to protect my site as somebody copied some of my pages. Unfortunately, because WebTV apparently does not support "scripting", it's not capable of displaying the encrypted pages. If that is the case, there is nothing I can do at this point, unless I decrypt my whole site. I have kept this newsletter, my guestbook and any new pages code free in order for those on my mailing list to have the ability to access them after I send the newsletter out. You will not be able to access the rest of the site at this time. I hope to find a way around this problem and will keep you updated. |
