I will never forget…

The feel of your soft, warm fur
As you cuddled up next to me
Looking at me with adoring eyes
Love shining bright for all to see

The quiet moments that we shared
Simply knowing when I needed peace
Willing companion when I felt alone
An important role you filled with ease

The cute and silly things you did
Your own unique personality
Bringing so much joy into my life
You were God’s special gift to me

I will never forget how hard it was
To let go when we had to part
I will always and forever feel
Your paw prints on my heart
