*~* Parallel Roads *~*

Two roads rest side by side
Two lives near but still apart
Meandering under the same sun
Each ruled by a different heart

Connected now and then
By the twisting paths life brings
Only to part once more because
Of people or places or things

It takes time to build a bridge
And the effort of more than one
If it only reaches halfway across
Then more work needs to be done
